Gladiator fights are their most famous form of entertainment. It’s where they put fighters in a ring, and they will fight to the death!

Just imagine a mall built during the Roman Civilization. The Trajan’s Market is the first ever mall in Rome and was built between 100 and 110 A.D.
It was Roman Emperor Trajan who built this shopping mall. It has multiple levels and more than 150 outlets selling everything from clothes to food.
And what’s cool is that Trajan’s Mall was believed to be the first-ever shopping mall in history. It has an archaeological complex that comes with the Museum of Imperial Forums.
The Use of Urines
In ancient Rome, there were public urinals where men could urinate. However, did you know that Romans used to use their urine in washing their clothes and in brushing their teeth?
This may seem gross to hear, but it’s true! They used to purchase bottles of Portuguese urine and use it as their rinse. That’s why the importation of bottled urine turned out to be very popular. Even emperor Nero stretched the trade.
They believe that the ammonia in the urine could disinfect the mouths and whitens the teeth. With that, urine continued a famous mouthwash component until the eighteenth century. Yikes!
Hair Coloring was Popular
Today, whenever we like a new hairstyle, we can dye it to whatever color we like. But back in the day, during the Roman Civilization, hair dyeing was very popular among Roman women.
The famous colors were red and blonde, of which they used goat fat and beech wood ashes. The blonde was very popular because of Gauls and German.
Prostitutes should have their hair-colored blonde to distinguish themselves from the ordinary Romans. Those who dye their hair red are a symbol of rank and status.
Coins of the Trevi Fountain
About 3,000 Euros were collected from the Trevi Fountain’s bottom every night. As in every single night!
What’s so good and touching is that the money collected is being donated to charities like Caritas. They then used the money to help those in need in Rome.
